PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a waveform companding device to compress and expand easily each part of a waveform on the time base with different degree of com pression and expansion respectively. SOLUTION: An analog input signal is converted into musical sound waveform data by an A/D convertor 104, and the musical sound waveform data is stored in an original wave RAM area of a wave RAM 105. Next, timing of beat is inputted to the musical sound waveform data stored in the original wave RAM area by a display device 110 and operating piece 109. Timing of beat corresponds to a position on the time base of the musical sound waveform data, to input timing of beat is to input a ticking of time in the musical sound waveform data. Compression and expansion are performed based on a time corresponding to each beat of a generated original beat list and a beat list for change. |
