PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a virtual environment controller which is capable of searching the object existing on either one of a plurality of stages in the virtual environment having a plurality of stages. SOLUTION: In a virtual environment having a plurality of stages 22, 24 and 26, the objects 28 and 36 existing on the stages can be easily searched by the information from beacons 16 for identifying the object 28 and 36 even if which of the stages the objects 28 and 36 exist on is unknown by imparting the beacons 16 to the objects 28 and 36.
