Raising, transporting and adjusting building parts

The lifting device may be used to insert a part for a building into a window or door opening in a wall. It incorporates a horizontal rod (1) which is fixed on a support (15). The horizontal rod supports a pivot (6) on top of a column (7) with various clamping devices (8-10) for holding e.g. a grille (13) for an ornamental light fitting. The end of the horizontal rod may be screwed into a socket (2) attached to a frame (3) which may be fastened to a lid or manhole cover engaging the opening in the wall.
