A blind for providing trim and insulation over a window bay 102 formed in the bodywork 100 of a motor vehicle, the blind being covered on the inside in trim 104, and comprising a panel 1 possessing two side edges mounted to slide in two associated slides 11 secured to the bodywork 100 of the vehicle, the panel 1 being movable between a closed position in which it closes an opening 105 formed through the trim 104 of the bodywork 100 in register with the window bay 102, and an open position in which it uncovers said opening, at least in part, panel 1 comprising a succession of interconnected slats 6 extending transversely to the sliding direction of the panel 1 and each possessing an inside face remote from the bodywork 100 which is fitted with a flexible lining layer 8 for trim and insulation purposes, and in that it includes winding means 13 for winding the panel about an axis 2 adjacent to the opening 105 through the trim 104 and extending parallel to the slats 6.
