The foot scraper (1) may be attached to the front wall of a house near the front door. It has a backplate (11) which may be fastened to the wall by three screws, two mounted high up and at the sides and one mounted (18) at the bottom. There is a horizontal plate (10) sticking out from the backplate. The horizontal plate has curved edges (23) with rows of fine spikes (24) sticking out horizontally. The central portion of the horizontal plate is cut away and contains a number of bars (4) with arrays of upward-facing teeth on top. These teeth include coarse upward-facing teeth (3) and large numbers of fine upward-facing teeth (21). There are brackets (20) underneath to help support the horizontal plate.
