Radiation-curable coating composition useful for protecting electronic circuitry and method of curing the same

Novel, acryl-functional radiation-curable siloxane resins, having utility for coating and protecting electronic circuitry, are disclosed. The compositions may be cured utilizing a two step procedure wherein the coating composition if first irradiated with ultraviolet radiation and thereafter heated to a temperature between about 100 DEG C and 300 DEG C. The cured coating compositions of the invention exhibit high hardness and excellent adhesion to the type of organic resins used to support electrical circuitry, such as epoxy resins.
