PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain energy necessary for recording at about constant regardless of the position of a recording element and to obtain a good-quality image free from density unevennesses by compensating change in driving current through common wiring in accordance with the position of the recording element arranged in a row shape. SOLUTION: In the recording head, a plurality of recording elements 1-128 in which terminals on one side are connected to common wiring are arranged in a row shape. Recording is performed by successively and selectively feeding driving current between wiring in which terminals on one side of a plurality of recording elements are connected to the common wiring and terminals on other side of an individual recording element. The recording head is equipped with a compensation means for compensating change in driving current of the recording elements through common wiring in accordance with the positions of the recording elements arranged in the row shape. |
