PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cushion carpet by using a singly-based polymer for piles, base fabric, filling material and cushioning material to enable its recycling without the need of separating and recovering them after used. SOLUTION: In this cushion carpet, a singly-based polymer such as either polyester or nylon 6 is used for piles 1, base fabric 2, filling material 3 and cushioning material 4; the cushioning material 4 is composed of at least two kinds of fibers including low-melting fiber at 30-60wt.% in content, and also, the low-melting fiber is sheath-core type conjugate fiber so designed that the melting point of a sheath polymer R1 is >=50 deg.C lower than that of a core polymer, the weight ratio R1 /R2 is (40:60) to (60:40), and the melting point of the fiber is >=50 deg.C lower than that of the fiber the lowest in melting point among the other fibers constructing the piles 1, the base fabric 2 and the cushioning material 4. The piles 1 are implanted into the base fabric 2, and the cushioning material 4 is superposed upon the reverse face of the base fabric 2 followed by heat treatment at a temperature higher than the melting point of the above- mentioned low-melting fiber but lower than the melting point of the fiber the lowest in melting point among the other fibers to conduct filling of the piles 1 and laminating of the cushioning material 4. |
