PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain stable developing characteristic against temperature fluctuation by performing control that the temperature of a high-resistance roller having little irregular resistance is kept constant. SOLUTION: A mixer 14 stirring and carrying toner (t), a supply roller 15 supplying the stirred and carried toner (t), and further a developing roller 4 functioning as a developing member supplying the supplied toner (t) to a photoreceptor 1 are disposed inside a developing device 11. The resistance value per unit area from the surface of the developer roller to a center shaft is 1Ωcm<2> to 10<10> Ωcm<2> . The temperature of the photoreceptor 1 rises by generated heat by a heater 5 and simultaneously the temperature of the roller 4 coming in contact with the photoreceptor 1 rises. A temperature sensor 6 detecting the temperature of a shaft 16 is attached to one end of the shaft 16, and output from the heater 5 of the photoreceptor 1 is controlled by a controller 7 according to a detection signal therefrom. Thus, the ion conductive developing member whose resistance value becomes unstable is always used in stable temperature environment and the developing characteristic is stabilized. |
