THERMOSENSITIVE RECORDING MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosensitive recording material suitable for preventing a thermal head from becoming worn out and also preventing the thermal head from sticking to a thermosensitive recording layer. SOLUTION: An intermediate layer with a tensile modulus of 1×10<8> (dyne/ cm<2> ) or more and 1×10<10> (dyne/cm<2> ) or less as measured by JIS K 7127 is provided between a support and a thermosensitive recording layer, in a thermosensitive recording material with the thermosensitive recording layer provided on the support. The intermediate layer should preferably be made of a polyolefin resin such as polyethylene and polypropylene, and should especially be made of high-density polyethylene and low-density polyethylene as preferred resins. These resins are molded by melt extrusion on a support of polyethylene terephthalate.
