The invention concerns a rustproof screw with a hard tip (5), a head (2) of austenitic steel and a shank (3) which in at least one section including the screw tip (5) consists of maraging steel, maraging steel having greater hardness than austenitic steel. The invention further concerns a method of producing such a screw comprising the following steps: a first shank section (3) is produced from austenitic steel with a head (2); a second shank section (5) is produced from maraging steel; the two shank sections are welded; and a thread is formed on the screw shank. The second shank section (5) is case-hardened. |
