<p>A safety restraint system in which the retractor (10) for the shoulder webbing (18) is pivotably mounted to a structural member (12) associated with the back (14) of the seat (16). The retractor (10) is pivotable about a horizontal axis transverse to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle. The retractor (10) has a shaft normal to the spool of the retractor and is pivotably locked in a sleeve of a mounting bracket (34) attached to the structural member (12).</p> |
