The vehicle has a frame (16) which has front and rear guide frames (52), with a front axle and a rear axle (14). The guide frames have a carrier (60). There is a superstructure frame (74) fixed to the vehicle frame. The lifting platform (22) is arranged between the guide frames. The lifting platform is movable by power cylinders (122,124). There are loading platform (100,102) at either side of the carrier, which carry upwardly projecting frame elements (104,106). These two elements are fixed rigidly to each other by a crossbar (114).
