The machine has a data input for the selected details for the number plate. This can be a keyboard or a data input (4). The computer (5) accepts the data and displays the selected number plate on a display unit (6). The actual number plate (13) is moved along a transport belt (11) past the printing and embossing stations. The embossing uses a press tool matrix (15). The machine is also fitted with a payment input including a reader (3) for payment inserts. The operator selects the format of the number plate and the characters. The fitting holes are bored into the finished plate by an external drill head (20).
