<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a fast forward/rewind time, by setting a tape-running means, a tape speed-detecting means, a deceleration-setting means, a winding diameter-detecting means and a stopping means for stopping the running of a tape when the tape reaches a predetermined speed. SOLUTION: A stop signal is input to a target speed-switching means 16 and a stop-judging means 21. The means 16 starts to subtract a target speed Vn. The subtracting amount per unit time of the speed Vn is proportional to a deceleration (a) input from a deceleration-setting means 15. As a result, the speed Vn changes with an inclination corresponding to the deceleration (a). A running speed V tracing the speed Vn is accordingly decelerated with the deceleration (a). On the other hand, after the stop signal is input, if the means 21 detects that the speed data V input from a speed-detecting means 14 becomes not larger than a permissible speed VL, the means 21 outputs a brake permission signal. The signal is input to a brake-driving means 22, thereby driving brakes 8, 9 to stop the running of the tape.</p> |
