<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary anode type X-ray tube which can smoothly restart rotation at assembling time of the X-ray tube and after rotation is stopped over a long period of time and can maintain stable bearing operation by arranging specific lubricant housing chambers inside a large diameter part of a fixed body. SOLUTION: This rotary anode type X-ray tube is provided with a vacuum vessel 27, an almost columnar fixed body 15 which is arranged so as to project between an internal space of the vacuum vessel 27 and has a small diameter part 15a and a large diameter part 15b, an almost cylindrical rotary body 12 which is fitted to the outer periphery of the fixed body 15 by keeping a bearing clearance and whose anode target 11 is fixed to a part, dynamic pressure type radial sliding bearings 18 and 19 constituted between the small diameter part 15a of the fixed body 15 and the rotary body 12, dynamic pressure type thrust sliding bearings 23 and 24 constituted between the large diameter part 15b of the fixed body 15 and the rotary body 12 and a liquid metallic lubricant L to be supplied to the respective sliding bearings and a bearing clearance. Lubricant housing chambers 35, 36 and 37 to house the lubricant L are formed in the large diameter part 15b of the fixed body 15, and these are opened on an outer peripheral wall surface of the large diameter part 15b.</p> |
