PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and repeatedly perform measuring in a stable manner by using a calcium phosphate compound as a material for radiation dose measuring element material. SOLUTION: Since an element material is made of a calcium phosphate compound, the element is not dissolved in water and easily handled, and it is not necessary to fix the element by a binder or the like and thus, the element is easily machined to have various shapes and forms by a single material. Also, the material for the radiation dose measuring element is easily manufactured by electron spin resonance and the element thereby obtained measures a radiation dose highly accurately. Further, repeated measuring is allowed by annealing and since a radical produced during radiation exposure is very stable and has a long life, a radiation dose is accurately measured even after the passage of long leaving time after the radiation exposure. If hydroxyapatite is calcined at 1000 to 1350 deg.C, a resonance absorbing line is very sharp and a line width is small and thus a material proper for measuring of a radiation close by an electron spin resonance is provided.
