PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the miniaturization and the cost reduction of a device by providing two optical systems corresponding to two different recording density formats in one optical head. SOLUTION: This device comprises a lens actuator and an optical head 100, and the lens actuator corresponds to a different recording format and is provided with two objective lenses 11, 12 which are disposed at the interval of nearly 180 deg.. The optical head 100 comprises a semiconductor laser, a photodiode and an error signal element (not illustrated), and two laser units 21, 22 corresponding to respectively different recording formats are received therein. Thus, as two optical systems corresponding to two different formats are installed in one optical head 100, an optical head shifting mechanism becomes simpler than the conventional one. As a result, a space factor is improved, thereby being able to realize the miniaturization and the cost reduction of a device. |
