The process incorporates tabs 7 in the concave part 2 of the mould and has, on the border 4 of the split 3 opposed perforations 7' and a lateral recess 5, for placing the split 3 in contact with the vamps 6, which also have their own perforations 7" aligned at their insertion ends, the perforations 7" of the vamps 6 being placed on the tabs 7 of the mould and, in a coplanar manner, the mixture 1 of rubber/cork and, on the latter, the split 3, its perforations 7" being slipped over the remaining tabs 7 of the mould, immobilizing the split 3 and the vamps 6, the sole of the footwear then being removed and the edge 4 being checked. <IMAGE>
