PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a large scale air current with lower noises. SOLUTION: A membrane 4 is made up of a band-shaped cloth made of a synthetic fiber or the like and support bars 4A and 4B are mounted at both end parts thereof to maintain the membrane 4 spreading in the direction of a short axis thereof. Shafts 6 and 8 are arranged to be separated at an interval with the center lines thereof aligning each other and supported rotatably by holders 10 and 12 respectively. The support bars 4A and 4B are fastened at the central points of end parts facing the shafts 6 and 8. Rails 14 and 16 are laid parallel with each other at a fixed height separately along a wall surface of an atrium. The holders 10 and 12 are mounted on the rails 14 and 16 and made movable on the rails with a built-in motor. The holder 10 has a motor to rotate the shaft 6. The shaft 6 is rotated by the motor and the membrane 4 is turned being twisted, for example, in the direction of the arrow A. As a result, air current is generated in the direction of the arrow B. |
