<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To omit the formation of a contact hole in an insulating film and decrease the number of masks, and lower the manufacture cost by improving the structure of a wire for surge absorption. SOLUTION: A plus surge protection TFT (7) which has its gate and drain connected to a gate line (1) or drain line (2) and a minus surge protection TFT (8) which has its drain connected to the gate line (1) or drain line (2) have the source, and the source and gate connected to an auxiliary electrode or a light shield film equivalent to GND respectively. When a plus or minus surge is inputted, the protection TFT (7) or (8) turns ON and the surge current is absorbed to the GND, so that a TFT (3) at a pixel part is protected.</p> |
