The sensor installed in the insulating housing (10) of low-voltage equipment has an open magnetic circuit with a U- or L-shaped fixed part (21) and a separable part (22) around which a coil (25) is wound. The magnetic circuit is fitted around the conductor (23) whose current is to be monitored. Both parts are of low-permeability material and the open part (21) has an elastic support (12) in the housing to reduce the stray air gaps (e,e'). Preferably the value of the permeability is between 8 and 30. |
