<p>A security gate (10) for positioning within an area way such as a doorway. The gate (10) includes a support structure defined by a frame (18, 20, 22, 24) and a flexible panel supported by the frame (18, 20, 22, 24). The frame (18, 20, 22, 24) includes horizontal members (18, 20) and vertical members (22, 24) detachably engaged with the horizontal members (18, 20). One end of the horizontal members (18, 20) includes a lock assembly (48, 64) including a pivoting linkage defining a parallelogram structure for facilitating firm engagement of the horizontal members with opposing sides (12, 14) of the doorway.</p> |
