EXPANDABLE RUBBER COMPOSITION AND EXPANDED RUBBER PRODUCT USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high-quality expanded rubber product prepared by using an expandable rubber composition good in processability when carrying out the injection molding or compression molding. SOLUTION: This expandable rubber composition for injection or compression molding comprises a rubber and a thermal decomposition type organic foaming agent and is obtained by setting the content of the thermal decomposition type organic foaming agent at 1-30 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. rubber and further the shearing viscosity at 80 deg.C (at 100 rad/sec shear rate) at <=7×10<4> P. The expanded rubber product is prepared by filling the resultant expandable rubber composition for the injection or compression molding in a prescribed forming mold and then performing the vulcanizing expansion of the composition into a prescribed shape.
