FIELD: designing and use of armaments. SUBSTANCE: the gun mount is oriented in the plane parallel with the design waterline by orienting the ship hull and turning the gun mount relative to the center line through angle a, with a ≅ b, where 0 ≅ b < 90; besides, it may be that a=0. The device for laying the ship gun-mount on the target uses the ship hull and at least on gun barrel assembly; the gun-mount mass and dimensions exceed the allowable ones according to the ship stability at a hypothetical turning of the gun-mount relative to the center line through angle C, where b < c ≅ 90; besides, the gun-mount may have one degree of freedom relative to the ship hull, in particular, in the plane perpendicular to the plane of the design waterline; at least one gun-mount may be made for firing within the bow sector; at least one gun-mount may be made for firing within the aft sector; at least one barrel may be furnished with side chambers; at least one barrel may have a length exceeding 120 calibers. EFFECT: simplified design and possibility to solve combat tasks, both tactical and strategic ones. |
