FIELD: electric engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves assembling collector blank by means of technological ring, subsequent locating this ring to matrix in order to keep ring in matrix by friction. Matrix is mounted for engagement with outer support surface. Then ring blanks which are made from plastic material are located on ends of collector blank. Blanks contain filler with long fibers which are oriented along circumference. After this collector housing is pressed in pressing form in two stages. During first stage rigid connection of matrix to outer support surface is preserved and elastic strain power is accumulated in pressing form members. During second stage matrix is connected to outer support surface in elastic mode, accumulated power is released and directed to additional pressing of housing while collector blank is further heated. This is achieved using pressing form with plungers and matrix which is located between plungers and contains technological ring with collector blank by means of sliding position. One plunger has accumulator of elastic strain power for pressing form members. Produced collector has composite housing with long-fiber filling without metal reinforcement members. Strength of housing is preserved by fibers of filler which are oriented in circumference direction with respect to fitting hole of collector and are located in uniform order on all housing volume.
