The main body of the link (14) has a bolt (15) with horizontal axis and on which two tongues or strips are mounted. One tongue is fixed to the seat and the other to the lid. An anchoring unit (18) with vertical axis is fixable to the lavatory pan (13) by an extensible element (25) and a counter-nut (26), and is joined to the link. The anchoring unit has a head (24) protruding from the pan and possessing at least one outer profiled or polygonal part (30). The link has a seating (21) open underneath and possessing an inner profile or polygonal part (22). The head has a peripheral groove (28) into which an annular seal (29) fits. A threaded pin (23) goes through an intermediate washer (27) and extensible element (25) and is screwed into a nut. The extensible element is positioned in a hole (31) in the pan.
