A device for the presowing treatment of seed comprises a base, a load hopper and recipient hopper, an ultra-high frequency energy source and a conveyer belt with drive. The ultra-high frequency energy source takes the form of N antennas arranged along a conveyer belt and connected to their own ultra-high frequency generators. The conveyer also has N pairs of rollers whose axes are parallel to one another. The antenna axes are parallel to one another and perpendicular to the base, and the conveyer belt passes around each roller pair in an S-bend. Each roller pair is offset relative to the axis of the associated antenna in a direction opposite to the direction of movement of the conveyer belt. The ultra-high frequency generators can be tuned to different frequencies and the beam patterns of contiguous antennas do not overlap at the level of the upper section of the conveyer belt.
