METHOD OF EXAMINATION OF GASEOUS ATMOSPHERE

FIELD: electronics, electric vacuum instrumentation. SUBSTANCE: method refers to examination of gaseous atmosphere to determine components included in its mixture. Two electrodes are placed into examined space where examined is put and pulse voltage is applied to them. Amplitude of this voltage is increased from pulse to pulse and those values of voltage at which jump of current flowing in circuit between electrodes is observed are registered. Value of this jump is measured. Value of ionization energy leading to formation of ions of definite gas component which is testified by jump of current is found by specified value of voltage. Value of ionization energy is used to judge presence of definite gas component in gaseous atmosphere and value of jump of current is used to evaluate contact of this component. EFFECT: enhanced authenticity of method.
