The extension to the sun visor is attached to the vehicle's original sun visor (2) by means of an adhesive strip (3). It consists of a semi-rigid cover (1) fitted over one or two extenders (4 and 5), one of which is made from opaque material and the other from material, which is transparent but is tinted in such a manner as to absorb part of the light. The two extenders are separated by a strip of card (6), which is folded in two, such that the length exceeds the width of the opening (8) in the cover. The folded card is located between the extenders (4), in such a way as to create a friction force, which is sufficient to hold the extenders in the required position, when they are extended downwards through the opening (8) in the lower face of the cover.
