Channel information to be displayed on a search screen is inputted through an operating section (111) in accordance with a preset mode instruction from the section (111). The channel information is transferred to a second channel-selection control section (109) and stored therein. The search screen is generated based on the stored channel information and displayed on a display (112). Therefore, only the channels that the viewer wants to view, namely, only the channels which are frequently selected can be searched and still pictures of the channels are displayed on a split screen. |
