The remote-controller is adapted to control the operation of a mutually assistant equipment by using a telephone. First, the temperature and humidity detecting method by means of the remote-controller includes the steps of: determining whether a remote-control operation is implemented; if not implemented, detecting indoor temperature and humidity by a predetermined time interval; and transmitting the detected temperature and humidity in an infrared ray form. Then, the temperature and humidity detecting method by means of the mutually assistant equipment includes the steps of: receiving the temperature and humidity transmitted by the remote-controller; comparing the received temperature and humidity with the temperature and humidity set by a user to thereby set a compensation value; and adjusting the temperature and humidity in accordance with the compensation value.
