PRODUCTION OF COLOR FILTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a producing method of a color filter that shows the pattern accuracy of a photolithographic method as well as the easiness of a transfer method. SOLUTION: A radiation-curing adhesive layer 1 which increases its adhesion strength when exposed to radiation is formed on a color filter base body 2. A transfer sheet 5 prepared by forming an alkali-developing photosensitive color transfer layer 4 which decreases its adhesion property with a transfer sheet base body 3 when exposed to radiation is laminated to the color filter base body 2 in such a manner that the alkali-developing photosensitive color transfer layer 4 is in contact with the radiation-curing adhesive layer. The laminated layers are irradiated with radiation through a mask 6 so that the alkali-developing photosensitive color transfer layer in the irradiated part is adhered and transferred to the radiation-curing adhesive layer to form a first color layer. This procedure is repeated to produce a color filter. Since the position of each color layer to be formed is easily determined by the relation between positions of the mask and the color filter base body, color layers can be easily formed on the pixel part of the color filter base body with high accuracy.
