TRANSMISSION DEVICE FOR FOCUS ADJUSTMENT OF MICROSCOPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To add a fine adjustment drive function decelerated further to the conventional precision drive to the objective stage of a microscope with simple constitution. SOLUTION: This drive 1 of a type where a stage 5 is moved through a gearing device 6 for the purpose of focusing performs the focusing of a microscope by a coarse adjustment drive, the precision drive and the fine adjustment drive. The microscope is provided with operation knobs 7 and 8 coaxially arranged as a manual operation element. The knobs 7 and 8 are coupled with the rack 10 of the stage through a driving shaft 9 and the drive 1. The operation knob 7 of the precision drive is arranged on a movably disposed rotary shaft 11. The rotary shaft 11 is provided with at least two gears 12 and 13 having different diameter for the precision drive and the fine adjustment drive. Either of the gears 12 and 13 is coupled with the drive 1 by the sliding of the rotary shaft 11. Then, the combination of a conical body and a frictional wheel can be used instead of the different-diameter gear train.
