PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a small and low energy consumption blue laser at low cost by coupling a first optical fiber arranged in a first laser cavity resonator doped with praseodymium optically with an energy source. SOLUTION: An up-conversion laser 30 emitting blue light with suitable emission wavelength of 492nm takes advantage of the combination of resonance pumping of Pr ion and direct pumping of transition of GSA<-1> G4 through ground state absorption to emit laser light through transition of the pumping state of Yb<3+> . Mirror and loss in cavity are overcome by pumping and inverted distribution of Yb<3+> sufficient for razing to increase the GSA of Yb<3+> is obtained. A part of light is allowed for population of G4 level of Pr<3+> ion by GSA of Pr<3+> ion. Blue transition in Pr<3+> ion is populated by absorption in the pumping state of following pumping photon. |
