FIELD: optomechanical and optoelectronic instrumentation engineering; inventions scanning devices. SUBSTANCE: data reader has generator, control-signal shaper, linear photosensitive charge-coupled device whose electric inputs are connected to outputs of control-signal shaper and optical input is optically coupled with light-signal source, first comparator whose first input is connected to register output, second input is combined with register data input, and output is connected to register setting input; in addition, it is provided with controlled frequency divider whose input is connected to generator input and output, to control-signal shaper input, second and third comparators whose first inputs are combined and connected to register output, second input of second comparator is connected to output of first reference-code generator, and second input of third comparator is connected to output of second reference-code generator, controlled counter whose output is connected to control input of controlled frequency divider, sync input is combined with register clearing input and connected to control-signal shaper output; one control input of counter is connected to second comparator output and other control input of counter is connected to third comparator output; it also has analog-to-digital converter whose control input is connected to control-signal shaper output, data input, to linear photosensitive charge-coupled device output, and output, to data input of register.
