Vehicle chain set

The chain set (10) consists of a number of metal longitudinal connecting chains (13) and diagonal connecting chains (14), linked to each other by connecting rings (17). Elastic linear expansion compensation elements (19), running longitudinally, are fitted along the longitudinal connecting chains. These elements may be used in place of the rigid longitudinal connecting chains between two longitudinally adjacent connecting rings (17). The number of compensation elements may be less than the number of rigid longitudinal connecting chains.
