PURPOSE:To promote drying of ink during recording by applying a hydrophilic polymer containing silica with a specified average particle size and a specified conductive agent at least on one side of a transparent sheet of paper impregnated with a reactive resin. CONSTITUTION:An amino resin modified with alkanol and an alkyd resin of short oil type modified with non-drying fatty acid which is compatible with the amino resin, each in a given amount, are dissolved in a solvent to prepare a transparent solution of a reactive resin. A substrate such as a high quality paper is impregnated with a specified amount of the solution, and the resin is cured to obtain a transparent substrate with transparency of 60% or more. On the other hand, silica with an average particle size of 3.0-10.0mum, as a transparent raw material, and a cationic conductive agent of an emulsion type are dispersed in an aqueous solution of a hydrophilic polymer such as polyvinyl alcohol to prepare an ink jet coating liquid. The coating liquid is applied at least on one side of the above transparent substrate. The coated substrate is dried to obtain a transparent paper sheet for ink jet recording with transparency of 60% or more. |
