PROCESS FOR POLYSTYRENE RESIN GRAFTED WITH POLYETHYLENE GLYCOL,POLYPROPYLENE GLYCOL OR POLYETHYLENE-PROPYLENE GLYCOL

摘要

Title resin useful for organic synthetic reaction such as peptide synthesis was prepared by the following steps: swelling a polystyrene having hydroxy group on .beta. position of benzene ring in dioxane or tetrahydrofuran; mixing it with reaction-promoting base such as NaOH, KOH, KH, or Na/naphthalenide; by reacting the mixture with ethylene oxide, propylene oxide and a mixed solution of ethylene oxide/propylene oxide at 80-120 deg.C for 4-10 hours; and washing the obtained polystyrene with water and methanol, followed by drying to give the modified title resin.
