379,068. Cords. LEVER, W. and LEVER, T. C., (trading as LEVER & SONS, J.), Crown Rope Works, Delph Street, Bolton. July 30, 1931, No. 21731. [Class 109.] The ends of a cord, e.g. that used for operating a hinged window, are joined by folding each end upon itself to form an opening for a link d. The cord comprises a core b and a plaited covering a ; at each end of the cord a portion of the core b is removed and the end of the covering a is folded over and is threaded by means of a needle into the space left by the cut-away core. The diameter of the cord at the joint is thus substantially that of the remainder of the cord. |
