Disclosed are compounds of the general formula R-S(O)nCH2-CH2CH=CF2 or the salts thereof, wherein n is 0, 1 or 2; and R is for example a group of the general formula (XV) or (XVI), wherein R1, R2, R3, R4, R5 and R6 are described in the claims. These compounds exhibit nematicidal, insecticidal and acaricidal activity and are usable for killing or controlling nematode, insect or acarid pests.
