In a distributed data entry system for hospitals, hotels and similar facilities, comprising a flat screen as communication terminal, the flat screen being equipped with a connection to a bidirectional data network and the flat screen being associated with a position detector for detecting the presence and position of an input pen on or in front of the flat screen, the invention proposes that a television screen is also used for the data input, which can be switched from television operation to the operation of the in-house communication and the flat screen being arranged in the area of the in-house communication partner (for example the patient or the hotel guest). This provides the possibility for each communication partner within the hospital, hotel or similar facility also to be provided with a data input for the patient, hotel guest or the like without increasing the number of sets in any case available to the partner. |
