<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high quality image in toner density over a wide range by setting the magnetic toner concn. within a specified range in magnetic developer constituted of magnetic toner including binding resin and magnetic powder and magnetic carrier. SOLUTION: As to this developing method, an electrostatic charge image is developed by rotatably providing a developing roll 3 having a cylindrical permanent magnetic member on the surface of which a magnetic field having different polarity is arranged at a regular interval in a peripheral direction to face oppositely to an image carrier 4 moving while carrying the electrostatic charge image, and supplying the magnetic developer 2 on the surface of the roll 3. In the magnetic developer 2 constituted of the magnetic toner including the binding resin and the magnetic powder and the magnetic carrier, the magnetic toner concn. is set within the range expressed by an expression 10<=T/C<=σs+56. T/C expresses the magnetic toner density (wt.%) of the magnetic developer, andσs expresses the saturation magnetization value (emu/g) of the magnetic toner and is >=4emu/g, and <=25emu/g.</p> |
