PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the service life as well as to relax the stress concentration under the pressure, and to prevent the damage, by providing reinforcements at the projections of the roots of lips. SOLUTION: An X-ring 1 is formed by the integral formation of an elastic body. And reinforcements are provided by making the roots 5a and 5b of ribs 4a and 4b in a tapered surface. In the figure, the deforming condition of the X-ring 1 under the pressure by making the roots of the ribs in a tapered surface is shown. By making the roots 5a and 5b of the ribs 4a and 4b in a tapered surface, a stress concentration at the roots of the rib 4b and a lip 2b is relaxed, even when the rib 4b and the lip 2b are in the deformed condition when a high pressure is applied in the direction of the allow, and the generation of a crack can be prevented. Consequently, a damage of the X-ring 1 can be prevented and the service life can be improved, by utilizing the formation without using a reinforcing member. |
