PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyester composition which comprises specific polymer particles having hydroxyl groups and shows excellent slipperiness and abrasion resistance, when running at a low or high speed and is suitably useful in the application to magnetic recording medium, when it is formed to film and the like. SOLUTION: A polymer component having a hydroxyl group is arranged on the outermost layer and contains multilayered polymer particles with an average particle sizes of 0.005-2.0μm, preferably 0.02-1.0μm. The polymer particles have structural units of formula I and formula II and the content of the hydroxyl group is 1×10<-4> -1×10<2> mol/g particles, at least a part of the hydroxyl groups is contained in the particles of crosslinked polymer. In addition, it is preferred that the particles mainly comprises a copolymer from a compound prepared by adding (B) a unsaturated monobasic acid to (A) a compound of 2 or more glycidyl group in one molecule, and (C) a compound bearing one vinyl group in one molecule.
