PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an image of high quality at a high speed by dividing the test output part of an electrophotographic system and the graphic output part of an ink jet system in matching relation to the characteristic of an image to be formed. SOLUTION: An electrophotograpahic output mechanism 12 for a monochromatic text and an ink jet output mechanism 14 for color graphic are provided to a main body frame F in a detachable manner. An image data D when the text and the graphic are mixed is separated into the text separation data DT of the text part and the graphic separation data DG of the graphic part and supplied to the controllers 121, 122 of the output mechanisms 12, 14. The black density of toner used in the electrophotographic output mechanism 12 is set larger than 1.3 and that of toner used in the ink jet output mechanism 14 is set smaller than 1.3. |
