PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high-purity alkoxysilane by a rational method to react a silicon with an alcohol in the presence of a catalyst, purge a specific amount of the unreacted alcohol separated and recovered from a reaction composition and reuse the alcohol. SOLUTION: A first reactor 9 is charged with a solvent from a solvent tank 8, metal silicon powder from a chute 10 for silicon powder, a catalyst from a catalyst chute 11 and an alcohol from an alcohol tank 7 to carry out a reaction. A reaction product, hydrogen as a by-product and an unreacted alcohol are led from a reacting and mixing gas line 15 to a condenser 16. The unreacted alcohol and the reaction product are liquefied and stored in a second reactor 17. After the reaction is completed, a reaction composition is transferred to a reaction solution tank 18, supplied through a line 19 to a thin film evaporator 20. The unreacted alcohol is liquefied by a first distillation column 22, separated, recovered, and returned to the tank 7, >=2% of the unreacted alcohol is purged to a hydrolyzing tank 26 and the remaining alcohol is reused. The reaction product is distilled by a second distillation column 29 to give the objective alkoxysilane in a tank 32. |
