摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a leakage of ink from an atmosphere communicating opening, which results from an environmental change, even when the capacity of an ink storage compartment is increased, by forming between a negative- pressure-producing member and the atmosphere communicating opening a space which is larger than a specific capacity. SOLUTION: A partition 111 is formed in an ink cartridge 100, and the ink cartridge 100 is divided into two; an ink storage compartment 103, and a negative-pressure-producing member storage part 101 and spaces 106 and 107. The space 107 with a member 107A which, along the upper part of an filled ink holding member 102, regulates the displacement of the member 102 is provided on the negative-pressure-producing member storage part 101. Further the space 106 which communicates with the space 107 and reaches an atmosphere communicating opening 100B is provided. This space 106 has such an almost triangular cross-section that its capacity gradually increases toward the atmosphere communicating opening 100B.
