PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of meander in a process for continuously charging the catalyst material by using an expanded metal, which has the specified relation between the center distance in the long stitch direction and the center distance in the short stitch direction of a mesh, for a positive electrode collector. SOLUTION: The catalyst material, which is charged in an expanded metal of a positive electrode collector, which also works as a supporting body, clothes a polyethylene tetrafluoride fine hole film so as to form a gas diffused layer of an air pole 5. In the expanded metal, which works as a supporting body of the catalyst material and as a collector of the air pole 5, relation between the center distance LW in the long stitch direction of a mesh and the center distance SW in the short stitch direction of a mesh is set so as to satisfy the formula 0.69<=SW/LW<=0.92. This metal is wound into the hoop-shape, and continuously charged with the catalyst material. Furthermore, this expanded metal is desirably rolled. |
