The blade attachment assembly (12) has an articulating bridge (18) with sub-articulating bridges attaching to the blade (20) by claws (36). The aerofoils (42, 44) attach to the bridge (34) by arms (48) and to the wiper blade by links (46). As the blade follows the curve of the screen, the changing relative positions of blade and bridge piece cause the angles of attack of the aerofoils to vary.
